Gillian and I, along with friends from our playgroup recently took a trip to Green Level Gourd Farm in Apex, NC. It was a blast and we had so much fun playing in the corn maze, looking at pumpkins, going on a hay ride, and talking to chickens. However, G's favorite part for sure was playing on the tractor. Now if you notice her tractor, it is clearly a toy. Meant to be a bike it has pedals that will move it across the field. G being still quite small needed mom to push her from behind, but none the less, she loved it. I pushed that tractor around for at least 20 minutes, and we only stopped because one of us was tire of bending over. When Rusty got home last night I showed him all the pictures and told him how much fun we had. He immediately pulled out the picture of him on a REAL tractor to show to Gillian. He made sure she knew her love of the farm came from him. Not that I didn't already know I was a city girl, but I did laugh at the fact that Gillian was mezmorized by dead cornstalks - she just kept running her hands through the field. I might need to get her out a little bit more. So while she doesn't look the happiest here with me on the hayride, she was just tired by this point. It's a hard days work doing all that playing on the farm.
